Clipping Path is a technique of creating a selection around the product and the main goal is to separate the product from the existing background. So that a white, transparent or any other custom background can be added. It is also known as closed vector path. The best software to create clipping paths is the Adobe Photoshop. It has a tool named Pen-tool which is very much accurate and user friendly. Its not an automatic tool and has to be operated manually.
